Woodstock Police Force Cst. Eric Duguay honoured with MADD Canada Silver Coin Award for Impaired Enforcement

On March 20th, at a ceremony held at Government House, Cst. Eric Duguay of the Woodstock Police Force was awarded the MADD Canada Silver Coin by the Lieutenant-Governor, the Honourable Louise Imbeault, during the inaugural MADD Canada New Brunswick Police Awards.

The ceremony recognized law enforcement officers from across the province for their exceptional commitment to road safety and excellence in impaired driving enforcement. Cst. Duguay was presented the Silver Coin for removing between 11 and 19 impaired drivers from New Brunswick’s roadways.

The awards ceremony coincides with MADD Canada’s National Impaired Driving Prevention Week (March 15–21), a week dedicated to educating the public about the dangers of driving under the influence and celebrating those who work to keep communities safe.

“We are incredibly proud of Cst. Duguay’s dedication to public safety,” said Chief Mark Bennett “This award highlights the vital work our officers do every day to prevent tragedies and ensure that our roads remain safe for everyone.”

The New Brunswick Police Awards feature four categories of recognition: the Top Performer, the Gold Coin (20+ removals), the Silver Coin (11-19 removals), and the Bronze Coin/Local Certificate (6-10 removals).
