DRIVER TRIES TO JOIN POLICE INVESTIGATION — ENDS UP JOINING A COURT DOCKET INSTEAD

On April 25, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Woodstock Police Force were actively investigating a theft incident on Connell Street when an unexpected plot twist rolled onto the scene.

A red Chevrolet pulled up beside the officers, driven by a male who, while uninvolved in the investigation, seemed determined to insert himself into it. After questioning the officers about their work, the man refused requests to move along and instead chose to block traffic.

As officers approached the vehicle, they noticed several open and closed cans of mixed alcoholic beverages inside the car. A conversation with the driver quickly confirmed another issue: the odor of alcohol on his breath.

The male was arrested at the scene and later provided breath samples registering 110 and 100 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood — both over the legal limit.

The 31-year-old male now has a court date to answer to one count of driving over the legal limit.
